Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour

  • 0.5 cup wheat flour

  • 0.25 cup grated jaggery or brown sugar

  • 0.5 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

  • 0.5 cup water

  • ghee or oil for greasing

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix together rice flour, wheat flour, jaggery, cardamom powder, and salt.

  2. Gradually add water to the mixture and stir well to form a smooth batter.

  3. The batter should be thick but pourable. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if needed.

  4. Heat a non-stick pan or dosa tava over medium heat. Grease with ghee or oil.

  5. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread evenly to form a circular shape.

  6. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the edges start to curl and the surface is dry.

  7. Flip the dosa and cook for another minute.
