Sweet (glutinous) Rice

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 grams white rice

  • 500 grams Rama margarine

  • 385 grams Nestlé sweetened condensed milk

  • 1.5 cups sugar

  • 2 litres milk

  • 0.25 tablespoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • almonds

Preparation

  1. Rinse rice and leave just enough water to boil rice.

  2. Add Rama and let it melt with rice.

  3. Add 1 litre milk while Rama melts. Make sure rice doesn't stick to the pot.

  4. When half cooked, add sugar, salt, cardamom powder and 1 litre milk.

  5. Add condensed milk when rice is almost cooked.

  6. Sprinkle almonds when done.
